Kane Brown made his Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo debut on Saturday (March 9) and in doing so, set a new record. Brown played for an audience of 75,126 fans and now holds the record for biggest country artist debut in RodeoHouston history.
Brown’s concert at the 2019 event puts him at No. 15 for largest audience in Houston Rodeo history, overall.
The country star got a special surprise from event chairman, too — Jim Winnie presented the hitmaker with a plaque to commemorate his single “Heaven” going four times platinum. The single followed Brown’s earlier certification of his chart-topping single “What Ifs,” which also has a four-time platinum status. This makes Brown one of only five country acts with multiple four-time platinum hits — an exclusive club that also includes Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Sam Hunt and Taylor Swift.
“Heaven” was country radio’s most-played hit of the year 2018.
